Watching Sharapova

Saw Sharapova win the first set of her semifinal in the French Open this morning, then had to catch my bus. On the way I managed to get the final score on my cell phone: straight sets 6-3, 6-3. She's back in the groove into the final against an unknown Italian who pulled an upset.

Watching Sharapova is stressful because she has moments of self-destruction, especially when she gets on a jag of double-faulting. Drives me nuts. But she obviously is a superstar, has amazing shots and incredible, fierce concentration. I hope she wins, completes her career Grand Slam -- and retires! Fat chance. They never know when to quit.
